PUR Highly Flexible Drag Chain Cable – Continuous Flex & Robot Cable Solutions

Category:

PUR Highly Flexible Drag Chain Cable

Product Description

Our PUR highly flexible drag chain cable is purpose-built for demanding continuous flex applications. An optimized structural design and premium materials deliver superior abrasion resistance, flex fatigue endurance, and long service life in cable carrier systems, robotics, and automated moving drives.

The cable features a special tensile-resistant strengthening layer that significantly increases mechanical strength and service reliability. The outer jacket – available in premium imported PUR – provides outstanding abrasion resistance, hydrolysis resistance, anti-microbial protection, and flame retardancy, making the cable fully suitable for outdoor use and harsh industrial environments. An inner jacket compacts the core structure, reliably preventing core movement and slippage within the cable during continuous bending, which directly contributes to extended operational life.

Engineered for applications requiring millions of bending cycles, this cable delivers stable performance with exceptional durability.

FAQ

1. What makes PUR jacket better for drag chain cables compared to PVC?
PUR offers significantly higher abrasion resistance, cut resistance, and flexibility at low temperatures. It also resists hydrolysis, oils, and microbial attack, making it the preferred jacket material for demanding continuous-flex and outdoor applications.

2. Can the cable be customized for specific temperature ranges?
Yes. We offer a standard temperature grade of -22 °C to +90 °C and a cold-flex version rated from -40 °C to +105 °C. The exact temperature range can be confirmed based on your operating conditions during quotation.

3. Is shielded version available? What is the typical coverage?
Yes, a shielded version is available with tinned copper braid at ≥85% coverage. This provides reliable EMI protection for signal transmission in electrically noisy environments.

4. Do you supply samples or small trial quantities?
Absolutely. We support project samples and small trial orders so you can validate cable performance in your application before committing to volume purchases.

5. What cable jacket colors are standard?
Standard jacket colors are grey, black, and orange. Custom colors are available upon request to match your equipment design or identification requirements.
